Report: PSG interested in Arsenal target Jean Seri form Nice

Arsenal could face tough competition from the Paris Saint-Germain to sign Nice midfielder Jean Seri in the summer transfer window, according to reports in France.

Arsenal and PSG are reportedly set to go head-to-head for the signing of 26-year-old midfielder this summer, according to the French newspaper Le Parisien, as quoted by website football.london.

The report claims that the Parisians want the Ivory Coast international to replace Frenchman Blaise Matuidi, who is likely to make a move to Serie A champions Juventus.

The Gunners were hoping to sign Seri in a cut-price deal if the Ligue 1 outfit failed to make it to the Champions League group stage.

However, Nice already booked their place in the playoffs where they will encounter Italian giants Napoli over two legs for a place in Europe’s elite competition.

The north Londoners have already signed Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette so far this summer.
