Manchester United have reportedly “explored” the possibility of signing Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes this summer.
The Spanish giants cashed out nearly £30 million in order to secure the Portuguese international’s services from Valencia last summer, but the midfielder endured a mixed season at Camp Nou.
While the 23-year-old playmaker has made 27 starts in all competitions, was unable to establish himself as a regular player in the big games, with just 17 starts coming in the La Liga.
However, according to AS, the Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho is considering options whether to make a fresh approach for Gomes’s services this summer.

The 20-time English champions were said to be interested in Gomes ahead of his transfer to Barca, and it has been reported that Mourinho may be tempted to rekindle his interest as he looks to bolster the centre of the park.
