Burnley midfielder George Boyd wanted by Aston Villa?

Burnley attacker George Boyd has reportedly emerged as a summer transfer target for Aston Villa.

It has been claimed that 31-year-old is only being offered an extension of a year, rather than long-term he desires, and as per The Sunday Mirror, Steve Bruce’s side are taking an interest in the player’s situation.

The report adds, that a number of other clubs are said to be interested in Boyd’s services, should he choose to leave the Clarets.

The experienced wideman has a vast of Championship experience, having won promotions to the top flight with both Burnley FC and Hull City.

Boyd joined Burnley on a three year deal from Hull City in 2014, and has become a regular figure in the first team ever since, scoring 12 goals in 110 league appearances.
