Real Madrid striker set for new contract

Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema will sign a new deal at the end of the current season as manager Zinedine Zidane looks to keep his star man happy at the Bernabeu.

Earlier this week, it was claimed that the Frenchman, whose current deal will expire at the end of the 2018-19 campaign, was considering his future at the Spanish capital.

According to AS, Los Blancos will offer the 29-year-old the chance to sign a three-year extension in June.

Benzema is currently in his eighth season at Real and has bagged 173 goals in 344 appearances for the La Liga giants, including 12 goals in 27 appearances this season.

The centre-forward has won one La Liga title, two Copa del Rey and two Champions Leagues during his time with the Spanish outfit.
