Marseille plan summer move for Olivier Giroud?

The French outfit Marseille are reportedly weighing up a summer move for Arsenal attacker Olivier Giroud, according to Goal France.

The Frenchman, who extended his new contract with the Gunners last month but has struggled to find his regular place, having started just six Premier League games this season.

The report suggested that the Ligue 1 side are prepared to spend massive in the summer transfer window following their takeover by American businessman Frank McCourt and have made signing the 30-year-old one of their prime targets.

Marseille have also been linked with Roma’s Edin Dzeko and Atletico Madrid’s Kevin Gameiro as they look to make a marquee signing at the end of the campaign.

Giroud has been at the north London since 2012, scoring 65 times in 152 Premier League appearances for the Gunners.
