Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci signs new deal until 2021

Juventus centre-back Leonardo Bonucci has committed his long-term future to the 32-time Italian champions by signing a new four-and-a-half year contract, keeping him at the Turin until 2021.

It has been rumoured that the Italy international would eventually link up with his former boss Antonio Conte at Chelsea.

However, the Serie A giants have announced that the 29-year-old defender has extended his contract, leaving the west Londoners to look elsewhere should they wish to bolster their backline.

Since arriving at the Turin in 2010, Bonucci has made 291 appearances in all competitions, scoring 18 goals, becoming one of the Europe’s most talented defenders in the process.

Bonucci has won five Serie A titles and two Coppa Italia crowns, while the defender has also helped Bianconeri to the final of the Champions League in 2015.
