West Indies: Holder replaces Ramdin as Test skipper

The 23-year-old Barbados all-rounder Jason Holder has been named as West Indies Test captain, replacing the 30-year-old wicketkeeper batsman Denesh Ramdin for the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka next month.

Holder, who has played eight tests – will lead the Caribbean side for the first time in their two-Test match series in Sri Lanka starting on October 14.

Windies will arrive Sri Lanka early in October and play their two Tests at Galle and Colombo, followed by a three-match ODIs series and two T20 internationals.

Elsewhere, West Indies have announced a 15-man Test squad to tour Sri Lanka.
