Report: Shane Warne set for return to Big Bash League

Australia’s greatest bowler Shane Warne is reportedly planning to comeback in this year’s KFC Big Bash League with the Melbourne Stars.

Reports have suggested that the 46-year-old is now considering returning to the competitive cricket with the Melbourne Stars, whom he featured previously for three years from 2011 before retiring in 2013.

However, the Stars have not announce any formal confirmation regarding his possibility.

It would be a huge boost for the green team after the former Australian skipper Michael Clarke recently pulled out of his two-year contract with the franchise.

The Stars are yet to announce their replacement captain and it is expected that Australia’s highest wicket taker is going to replace Michael Clarke for this year’s T20 BBL.

Melbourne Stars open their campaign against Adelaide Strikers on December 18.
