Man Utd target Porto defender Rolando?

Manchester United have reportedly made a contact with the Portuguese outfit ‘Porto’ regarding a loan deal for their defender Rolando, according to The Express.

The 29-year-old, who failed to make an impact at the Portuguese club – has been sent on loan to Belgian club Anderlecht for the remainder of the season.

That means the Portuguese international would be available on a cheap in the summer with his contract is due to expire next year.

The Red Devils manager Louis van Gaal is said to be keen on for a new centre-back, with Mats Hummels from Dortmund and Rapahael Varane from Madrid both linked with moves to the Old Trafford.

However, the Dutchman has been attracted by Rolando’s availability and he contacted Porto about signing of their centre-back at the end of the season.

Rolando has joined Porto from Belenenses in 2008 and has won 19 caps for his country.
