    The Dutchman has a wealth of experience as a manager, who has managed Ajax, Bayern Munich and Barcelona in his career.

    After the announcement of United’s new manager, the Red Devils’ supporters were more than happy to have an experienced coach at Old Trafford who ‘knew how to win’.

    Manchester United have recently made the two-biggest signings this summer in the form of Ander Herrera from Athletic Bilbao and Southampton’s Luke Shaw.

    Its understood Louis van Gaal is likely to add a few more players to his squad ahead of next season.

    Manchester United chief executive Ed Woodward is desperate to prove that he is capable of winning games at Old Trafford after a poor performance last term.
