England all-rounder Kevin Pietersen has been included in the Indian Premier League auction – starting on next month, according to reports in BBC Sport.
The 33-year-old, who made his IPL debut in 2009 for Royal Challengers Bangalore is now listed at £194,000 – which is said to be a top base price in the auction.
Along with Pietersen – Ian Bell, Eoin Morgan, Luke Wright, Dimitri Mascarenhas, Ravi Bopara, Jade Dernbach, Craig Kieswetter, Alex Hales and Samit Patel are also in the auction list.
Pietersen is regarded as one of the highly rated all-rounder players since he joined IPL and he is looking for a new franchise this season following the Delhi Daredevils opted not to retain any of their stars from the previous season.
It will be interesting to see for which team will sign Pietersen in the coming season of an Indian Premier League.
The IPL season 7 will starts from 8 April to 30 May in India.
